The 2026 Homecoming King, Isaiah Fanney, of Morristown Hamblen West High school was crowned on Thursday Feb. 12. Morristown West High School freshman Axel Vargas Huipe recently  took home the top prize in the school’s annual Martin Luther King Jr. writing contest, an achievement that has given him a major boost in self-confidence. On November 19, West High hosted a warm and festive Thanksgiving meal in the cafeteria prepared and served by the school’s dedicated lunch ladies.
