Meet the 2026 Homecoming King: Isaiah Fanney

The 2026 Homecoming King, Isaiah Fanney, of Morristown Hamblen West High school was crowned on Thursday Feb. 12. When he won Homecoming King he shared, “It didn't feel real, it was surreal.”

Fanney plays on the varsity football team. In the future, he wants to go to ETSU to study marketing and design in the fashion industry. What inspires him the most is being a fashionista. He got his style from music, just wearing what he wants, and being himself. Fanney claims that he “would swap lives with Daniel Caesar just to perform to people.”

Fanney chooses to use this platform to be “sunshine and rainbows.” His biggest hero during his time at West High is God. This senior loves one tradition here at West High and it is prayer requests and good Friday in choir. Speaking of choir, his biggest accomplishment was going to state with choir.

Being homecoming king is funny for Fanney because people keep calling him “King” and bowing to him. His passion after school is music and fashion. His biggest inspiration is Pharell and his favorite song is “Eden” by Brent Faiyaz. The quote he lives by is the one in his homecoming speech which was, “You can't add days to your life, but you can add life to your days.” The best advice he has received was “be yourself and don't let anyone dim your light.” Lastly, the highlight of his month has been winning homecoming king and having a baconater.
