With senior year starting, most athletes are facing a multitude of challenges as they navigate the complexities of their last season. This pivotal time in their athletic careers is not just about competing; it encompasses a range of emotional, physical, and logistical hurdles that can significantly impact their performance and overall experience.

Jade Espel has been playing soccer for the past 10 years. Although she won’t be continuing the sport in college, as she plans to focus on her academics, she knows she will deeply miss the game—and the lasting memories and strong bonds she’s formed along the way. Her biggest supporter throughout her soccer journey has been her dad, who never missed a game and has always been there for her. As she enters her final season, Jade is feeling a mix of emotions. While she's proud of everything she’s accomplished, she’s also saddened by the thought of leaving behind the younger players she’s grown close to over the years.

Caleb Rodrick has been playing baseball for 12 years and plans to continue his athletic career in college. He’s especially excited for this season, knowing it’s his final year of competitive high school baseball—and he’s determined to make it a memorable one. While he looks forward to the future, Caleb knows he’ll miss playing sports in high school, especially the amazing bonds he’s built with his teammates. His biggest supporter throughout his journey has been his dad, who has stood by him every step of the way. Caleb’s advice to younger players is to be open to trying new positions—you never know where you might find your best fit.
