Work Ethic Distinction
Intended to promote the importance of work ethic among high school students, the Work Ethic Distinction is a workforce
readiness credential that can be earned by high school seniors. Recognizing the value of these standards, participating
employers agree to grant an interview to any qualified applicant who applies for an open position and has successfully
completed the Work Ethic Distinction. Participating students work toward earning 32 points in 13 achievement categories
as delineated in the Work Ethic Distinction Standards.
