VFW Voice of Democracy Scholarship Program
VFW Voice of Democracy Scholarship has been the Veterans of Foreign Wars’ premier scholarship Program since 1947. Awards are offered on the local, state and national levels. Students compete by writing and recording an audio essay on an annual patriotic theme. This year’s theme is "What a Veteran Taught Me About America."
The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Scholarship
The Cooke Foundation College Scholarship Program is the largest undergraduate scholarship program available to high-achieving high school seniors with financial need who seek to attend the nation’s best four-year colleges and universities. In addition to the monetary award, Cooke Scholars receive comprehensive educational advising, significant cohort-based programming, and graduate school funding, as well as a thriving network of nearly 4,000 fellow Cooke Scholars and Alumni.
Elks Foundation Most Valuable Student Scholarship
Ranging from $1,000 per year to $7,500 per year, the Elks National Foundation Most Valuable Student scholarships are for students pursuing a four-year degree, on a full-time basis (minimum of 12 semester hours), in a U.S. college or university. All scholarships are in the form of certificates of award conditional upon the full-time enrollment of the winner in an accredited U.S. college or university.
The Coca-Cola Scholars Program Scholarship
The Coca-Cola Scholars Program scholarship is an achievement-based scholarship awarded to students in their final year of high school. Students are recognized for their capacity to lead and serve, as well as their commitment to making a significant impact on their schools and communities. 150 Coca-Cola Scholars are selected each year to receive this $20,000 scholarship.
Quest Bridge
Quest Bridge is a national nonprofit that connects the nation’s most exceptional, low-income youth with leading colleges and opportunities. We are looking for high school seniors who have shown outstanding academic ability despite financial challenges. Any high school senior, regardless of citizenship, currently attending high school in the U.S. is eligible for the National College Match.
The American Legion National High School Oratorical Scholarship
The American Legion's National High School Oratorical Scholarship Program - "A Constitutional Speech Contest" aims to develop a deeper knowledge and appreciation of the Constitution of the United States on the part of high school students.
Scholarships totaling $6,000 will be awarded to students taking part in the state contest. The state winner will receive a $3,000 scholarship, plus an all-expenses paid trip to Hillsdale College, Hillsdale MI to compete in the national contest, May 14-16, 2027 and a part of the $167,500 national scholarship pool.
The Gates Scholarship
The Gates Scholarship is a highly selective, last-dollar scholarship for minority, high school seniors from low-income households. To apply, students must be:
A high school senior, from at least one of the following ethnicities: African American, American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian Pacific Islander American, and Hispanic American
Pell-eligible
US citizen, national, or permanent resident
In good academic standing with a minimum cumulative weighted GPA of 3.3
