Friend Or Foe; Can AI Exist With Society
AI is a mixed bag when it comes to how society views it, depending on who you ask you will either get that AI is bad or AI is good. AI has its pros and cons, but what are those exactly? AI being good or bad is determined based on whether it is used responsibly or not.
The idea that AI is bad mostly stems from the idea that students use it to cheat and complete their work faster. Teachers think AI is bad because it allows students to cheat, and it is very easy to tell apart from real effort. Students' use of AI has gotten so bad to where teachers have started using AI detectors to detect whether a students work is AI or not. Students do have ways they can use AI responsibly such as Flashcards and Tutoring; Of course, there are multiple other ways a student can use AI responsibly.
A wide majority of people think AI is bad for society because it takes their jobs or replaces them. AI is known to replace jobs such as artists, factory workers, and even teachers on some occasions. A way employers can use AI responsibly while still keeping their employees is giving some parts of a job to AI and giving the rest to employees. Giving AI jobs that humans can’t really do well is a great idea that keeps both employers and employees happy.
AI is also considered bad because multiple artists and even game developers use it to craft their entire game. Good examples of developers and artists using AI to make a game is Roblox; Multiple games on the Roblox platform are usually just copies of another game thanks to AI. Ways developers or artists can use AI responsibly is using it to fix minor mistakes in the code or art; Using AI to generate small things in the game can also be good, as long as you don’t make it the full game.
AI is only bad because humans made it out to be that way and misuse it. AI is good when you use it responsibly to fix mistakes, learn, or use it to do things humans can’t do. In conclusion Ai can be both good and bad, it’s just a matter of how you perceive it or use it.
