The West High Football Jamboree kicked off with plenty of excitement as the team battled back from an early 0-7 deficit versus Cherokee to finish the game tied 7-7.
West High got off to a slow start, giving up a touchdown early on. But they did not let that get them down. The defense tightened up, shutting down the other team for the rest of the game, while the offense found its groove just in time to score a touchdown and even things out.

The game was a great back-and-forth battle that showed off the team's grit and determination. It was a solid start to the season and gave the fans plenty to cheer about. Both teams played hard and left it all on the field, setting the stage for what should be an exciting season ahead.

Coach Sanders said, "It was good to compete and get a chance to get ready for the season." He also added, "Overall it went well and I’m proud of the players. They listened well and played hard."
With that kind of effort and attitude, West High looks ready to take on the challenges of the season and build on this strong foundation.
