Trojans Compete Strongly at IMAC Golf Championship
Congratulations to the Boys and Girls golf teams for their strong performances at the IMAC Golf Championship yesterday. The boys won the Conference by 14 strokes over Jefferson County, and the girls finished tied for first place and lost in a playoff to Sevier County.
The boys were led by Sutton Smith, who shot a 74 to finish in a tie for first place individual. Reed Patrick helped the Trojans out by shooting a 76, and Carson Kragel shot a 77.
Harrison Kate Blanchard finished as the first place individual in the girls tournament by shooting an 81 for the Lady Trojans. Audrey Noe finished the scoring for West by shooting 95.
Several Trojan golfers received awards for their efforts during the regular season. Carson Kragel earned Player of the Year on the boys side. Sutton Smith, Reed Patrick, Jake Bunch, Preston Clowney, and Emma Dabe-Arebaugh were all named to the All-Conference Team. Coach Noble was named as the Boys Coach of the Year.
The next match for the teams will be Monday, September 21 in Dandridge.
