Today’s technologies are evolving rapidly. However, it’s not only technology trends that are changing, a lot has changed since the outbreak of COVID-19. IT professionals and other computer-based businesses are realizing that their role will not stay the same in the contactless world tomorrow. Professionals will constantly be learning new information and material as well as relearning older material. Here are some ways technology has evolved this year alone.
Artificial Intelligence, AI, is known for its remarkable effects on how we live, work, and play and are only in the early stages. AI is known to be superior in many different components such as speech and image recognition, personal assistants on smartphones, navigation apps, and many more. The marketing for AI will grow to a $190 billion industry by 2025 with global spending on cognitive and AI systems reaching over $57 billion in 2021 according to Forrester.
Many people believe that Blockchain has ties to cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, but Blockchain offers security that can be used a variety of ways. It is essentially a chain where you can add data or change it, but never take away any previous data. Not being able to change any of the previous data is what makes Blockchain so secure. Additionally, Blockchains are driven by a consensus, meaning no one party can take control of the entire chain. Lastly, you do not need to have a trusted third-party organization to oversee or validate transactions.
Although many technologies are emerging and evolving, including the ones above, these technologies provide promising careers and potential for the future. Many of the trending technologies are looking for skilled professionals, so now is the perfect time to get trained in the tech field and get on board at the early stages of these technologies. These jobs will position you to be successful now and in the near and coming future.
