While football season has ended, some West High players have recently signed to play college football. Jaiden Picardi recently signed to play for Carson Newman University. Picardi stated, “I began playing football in the 5th grade… My mom and my dad have always been really supportive with everything I do. Others who have helped me would be all of my coaches, especially Coach Sanders, my teammates, and my friends.”
Roddney Long also signed. He will play for the University of the Cumberlands. Long said, “It has always been a dream of mine to pursue a college football career and the fact that my little brother passed away; I did it all for him.”
In addition, Jovanny Gonzalez has also signed to play football at Union College. Gonzalez shared, “I always wanted to play in the big lights, and I had promised my mom that I was going to do that. That allowed me to just passionately work everyday knowing who and why I was doing it for. “
Finally, Justin Dilbeck has signed to play for the University of Pikeville.
Congratulations to those who signed and thank you for making the Trojan Nation Proud!
