These programs are highly competitive and take place on different college campuses across Tennessee during the summer break. They're designed for serious students—current 10th and 11th graders—who will be rising juniors and seniors by summer 2026.

You can dive deep into a ton of different subjects, like the arts, history, science, math, leadership, international studies, or even teaching. Every school offers a unique vibe and challenges bright students to push themselves.
The deadline is approaching fast, so don't wait until the last minute! The main application deadline for most programs is Friday, December 5, 2025.
But wait, there’s a little extra time for the artsy folks! The Governor’s School for the Arts at MTSU has a separate deadline if you're into Vocal/Instrumental Music or Filmmaking. You have until Friday, January 16, 2026, to get those applications in.
For all the details and how to apply, definitely check out the official Governor's School website. You can also find links and info in the Governor's School post in your Google Classroom.
