Morristown West High’s speech and debate team attended Soddy Daisy High School’s Forensics tournament on Dec. 5 last weekend. With 23 schools in attendance, West’s team had plenty of competition. The team as a whole placed second in sweepstakes, beating 21 of the other schools competing.
West’s team had several people who placed in their respective events!
Congratulations to all the competitors! Coach Suzanne Terry expresses pride and happiness for her team, and is excited for any and all future tournaments that will be occurring. Terry says, “In a world where it’s so hard to stay connected with people right now, seeing my students put in so much effort and work into my class is so important to me, and I’m so proud of them.”
West High expects even more wins from our wonderful speech and debate team this year!
