Food on foot will be continuing to give out free food bags to adults and children throughout the summer. Currently, students in Hamblen County receive food bags on Fridays. Every Saturday from 11 through 12:30, they will be passing out bags to all the people in the vehicle that pull up.
Carolyn Jarnigan, the director of the program states, “People do not have to be a Hamblen County resident. They don't have to be registered.” West High Senior Carlie Wolfe volunteers for Food on Foot and shares that "this is a great program." Food on Foot is located on One berklin drive and volunteers are excited to hand out food bags to new faces.
