Exciting Choirs Set to Shine at JB Lyle Regional Competition

The JB Lyle Regional Competition is fast approaching, and anticipation is building among music lovers and performers alike. This event brings together some of the most talented choirs from across the region, each eager to showcase their vocal skills and passion for music. The competition promises a thrilling display of harmony, technique, and creativity that will captivate audiences and judges. Results of the competition will be posted soon.
West High choirs are directed by Mrs. Sophia Mangin. They will perform the following pieces.
A poem by E. E. Cummings titled “little man in a hurry”. There is lots of text painting in this one.
One of the pieces is by Brahms, and it’s in German!
The last piece features text from Southern Appalachian folk history, and it’s called “Hark, I Hear the Harps Eternal!”.
