Nov.2 West High CTSO clubs (HOSA and FCCLA) attended a leadership conference in Knoxville at the Knoxville Convention Center on the World’s Fair Park site.
The conference consisted of general sessions, and leadership development workshops in order to develop the CTSO members’ leadership skills.
HOSA sponsor, Sherry Skeen, commented, “Communication is key between verbal, nonverbal, and written. Even if you are trying to overcome obstacles there is someone there to help you. Trust others in the process. Networking and connecting to people. Opening a social media page for your specific chapter is important to network with others.” These were her key takeaways for the day.
FCCLA member, Isabella Swanson, stated, “I learned that even when you are face-to-face with obstacles, you always have people there for you to help guide you.”
