Earlier this year, seniors voted on who they thought would be the best fit for the Best Date to Bring Home superlative. Jase Rumph was the male nominee and Alexie Cowan was the female nominee.
Rumph thinks that he got nominated for this superlative because of his beautiful eyes. He believes that kindness truly “sells” a date. His go-to date outfit is boots, spurs, blue jeans, chaps, cowboy hat, and a button-down shirt. He believes that his manners come from his parents, and he also believes in the guy paying for the first date. For the perfect first date, Rumph would like to go mudding on a four-wheeler. Rumph would wear boots, spurs, blue jeans, chaps, cowboy hat, and a button-down shirt on his first date with someone. These answers were sent in by Rumph’s younger brother, Jaron Rumph.
Cowan thinks she got nominated for this superlative because she's very innocent and a parent would never have to worry about me getting their child into trouble. She also loves talking to adults and gets along great with parents! She thinks maturity is one of the best personality traits a significant other can have, especially on a first date. Cowan likes to keep it casual, but also a little fancy. Her go-to is a sweater or nice shirt that brings out her eyes with jeans, along with a necklace and bracelet. She believes her manners come from her parents. Cowan would take her date to a cute sunset picnic and have Chick-Fil-A. The guy should DEFINITELY pay on the first date and most other dates as well, Cowan believes. She thinks the boy paying is a sign of respect and maturity. She thinks you should wear something that is modest but makes you feel confident as well.
