The Student Council is one of the most important student body organizations at West High. The Student Council represents all the students in the school, and they make the decisions the students would have to decide on. Will Hunley, Executive Office President, shared, “The Student Council has expanded on events and created new events that allow the student body to participate and experience the Trojan Nation in new perspectives.” The Council works to bring the students together while also providing resources to benefit the school.

The Student Council’s next event is the Basketball Homecoming live streamed pie in the face ceremony to announce the winning class of spirit week. Council members are in charge of Basketball Homecoming, Football Homecoming, and Prom! Student Council members meet every Wednesday after school.

Students should get involved in the Council to represent West High. Council members earn the opportunity to make decisions and create ideas that can positively impact our school in tons of different ways! The Council is made up of elected positions, sophomores and juniors will run at the end of the school year, and freshmen run in the fall.
