West High would like to welcome Mr. David Aten. He teaches English Language Learners, and he is also an assistant baseball coach. Aten is from Southern California. He holds degrees in Health Science, Public safety, and Emergency Management.
The reason he chose to become a teacher was to act as a positive influence and role model for students. He explained that he wants to “pass down the knowledge and experience he has learned in his life journey.”
When Aten has free time, he likes to spend his time playing golf, hunting,coaching, and relaxing. His favorite quote that he uses in his daily life is,”You will never regret doing the right thing.” The advice gives to students is to “strive to exceed expectations and be someone you would be proud to know.”
