Many new places are starting to pop up in Morristown. One of them is a new entertainment complex being constructed in College Square Mall. It will be taking over Ashley’s Home Furniture Store. The trampoline park will be called Absolute Air Park.
The park began its renovation Dec. 2, 2019. According to the Absolute Air Park’s Facebook page Jan. 5, 2020, “The trampoline pits are well underway.” The target date for the opening is expected to be in April 2020.
The original location was going to be in the 700 block of East Morris Boulevard, but delays and permit issues forced the project to be pushed back nearly a year. The park is going to be 28,000 square feet in total, 9,000 will be dedicated to the trampoline part.
According to the Citizen Tribune, “The remainder of the space will be used to house a laser tag arena, black-light mini golf, bumper cars, an 80 video-game arcade and gift center, a full restaurant and private event rooms that could be used to hold birthday parties, as well as other events.”
Owner, James Soule stated, “We are trying to get student internships and we are wanting to talk to the art department about having students to paint black-light art. We are trying to make the park community involved.”
