The Tennessee High School Press Association has examined every online high school newspaper in Tennessee and ranked and judged them on their quality. West Side Story and several of its articles were given awards by the Press Association for the great writing and hard work put into them.
WestSideStory.net was given Third Place in Best Overall Website.
WestSideStory.net was also recognized and ranked as an excellent website.
Andrew Goodman won second place for best advertisement with his graphic, “Trinkets and Treasures Formal Wear.”
Samantha King won second place for best illustration/cartoon for “Grad Bash”
Nina Lin and Lani Helton won second place for the best feature story with their article, “From Donetsk, Ukraine to Trojan Nation: Pinchuk Becomes a West High Local.”
Carlie Wolfe won third place for best photograph in her article, “Career Technical Education: Welding Addition.”
