West Side Story online newspaper ranked number one in TN

Each year, the TN High School Press Association at Lipscomb University holds a middle and high school journalism competition for newspapers, magazines, online newspapers, and yearbooks. This year, http://westsidestory.net received first place for the best high school news website in the state. The competition results may be viewed at Contests | Lipscomb University.


Editor Aidan McCauley, expresses "I am honored and proud of this staff for such hard work this year." McCauley also writes a weekly column titled "Trojan Talk" for the "Citizen Tribune" Lakeway Area newspaper.


West Side Story has placed first in the past as a hard copy newspaper. This is the first year they placed at the top for an online news website. Advisor, Amy Whaley comments, " We enjoy sharing the many accolades and student life of Morristown-Hamblen High School West. Go Trojans!
