Happy Mother’s Day to all moms and mother figures of our Trojan Nation students! The Morristown-West Theatre class will be performing FootLoose:Youth Edition on May 19, 2023 and May 20, 2023 in the Auditorium. The performance will start at 7:30 p.m. on both days. Tickets will be $10 each; staff members will have free admission.
This year the Trojan Nation Senior Honors Banquet will take place this Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at 6 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church Gymnasium for students graduating with any of the following: Honors and Distinction, Honors, Distinction, AP National, AP Distinction, AP Honors, AP Honors, AP Scholar, Who’s Who, Gold Star, Grit, Work Ethic Diploma, TN TriStar, TN Scholar, CNA Certification, National Merit, Perfect ACT Score. We look forward to honoring these students for their accomplishments. Parent tickets have already been purchased and the deadline has passed.
All Seniors must turn in their Senior Walk permission forms to their TNN teachers by Monday, May 15, 2023 in order to participate in the Senior Walk to their previous schools; this will only cover West schools. We will also be having a Senior Signing Day that afternoon to celebrate all Seniors for graduating; food, drinks, games and more will take place! Remember to turn in your permission forms!
The pink form for scholarship awards day will be due by Monday, May 15, 2023, as well. The event will take place in West High auditorium and parents will be invited to attend. Scholarship day will take place Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. during the school day.
Try-outs for the 2023-2024 Morristown-West Boys’ Basketball team will be held on Monday, May 22, 2023 between 3:15 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. after school, for rising Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors. Try-outs for incoming Freshmen will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. All that try-out are required to have an updated physical after Apr. 15, 2023.
Anyone wanting to run Cross Country in the fall needs to stop by Coach Bowen's room for information and paperwork. The team will start conditioning in June, and all runners must have a physical before he or she will be allowed to participate.
Goodluck to the Trojan Spring sports teams in continuing their District Tournaments. As the season ends, we would like to say thank you to all our coaches and athletes for working hard this season!
Once again, thank you to all Trojans for working hard and trying their best! Let’s finish strong in the final two weeks of the 2022-2023 school year! Go Trojans!
