Congratulations to the West High Trojan Boys’ Basketball Team for landing an astonishing win in the regional tournament against West Ridge.
Both teams played very competitively and the game consisted of many ties and leads between the two teams. The tournament ended with a slamming 66-61. The first quarter got off to a poor start, but the Trojans picked it up in the second, scoring 12 points and taking the lead 30-26. By the end of the third quarter the two teams tied 47-47. In the fourth quarter both teams put up a strong fight. West Ridge took the lead for the first few minutes and West High tied it right back to 51-51. The Trojans secured their lead by making 9 of 10 free throw attempts. The West High Trojan Boys’ Basketball team will be playing again tomorrow February 28 at 6:00 at Tribe Athletic Complex in Kingsport, TN.
