Students Who Love Anime Should Join Anime Club

BY OSWALDO GUZMAN FEATURES EDITOR

There are a lot of people who love anime and watching it. The people who love anime should join or go to visit the anime club in Mrs. Hall’s classroom in the freshman academy. The club holds their meetings the first and third Thursdays of each month. The anime club offers students who enjoy anime an opportunity to watch anime shorts with others who enjoy this type of film. There are people who watch a lot of it and sometimes will not have other people who enjoy or like anime to enjoy it with. The things that the anime club does is watch anime, anime trivia games, Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh card games as well.

The anime club has been here for almost six years now. The anime club was started in 2014. The average students that go to the anime club is usually 10-16 students. Hall said, “Anime club was started by a group of students who enjoy anime and they ask me if I could sponsor the club. I said yes and that’s how the anime club was formed.” In the club, they watch school-appropriate anime during the meetings. They also play anime trivia like who is this person or guess which anime this song comes from. The students will also talk about the new anime shows that come out or talk about what they think of one old anime that they have already watch once before.
