West High School’s Kindness Chain is a vibrant, growing symbol of community, made of red and white paper links that stretch throughout the school. Each link represents a
specific moment of gratitude, with students and staff writing down kind acts others have done for them. These connected messages will be hung in the cafeteria, serving as a powerful visual reminder of just how much appreciation and positivity "floats around" West High every day. This initiative is supported by a Utrust Grant, an award given to schools that excel in fostering a culture of kindness and recognition. By turning individual "Thank you's" into a massive, collective display, the school not only celebrates its daily wins but also strengthens the bonds that make West High a supportive place to learn.
