Stars align for Mrs. Temple

A new face at West High is Chelsea Temple. She attended Northeast State University and East Tennessee University. Before teaching at Morristown West, she taught at West Greene High School in Greene county.

Mrs. Temple stated, “ The choice to come to West High was very serendipitous!  The stars seemed to align. I think that when God wants you in a place he does what he needs you to  ensure that you end up there.”

Like many moms, she is a full fledged soccer mom and is always on the move with her son who also does baseball, basketball and everyone's favorite, football.

Mrs. Temple's grandmother raised her and also supported her throughout her journey. “ Now that she's in her golden years I get to return the favor and take care of her.”  The friends she had in high school motivated her to be a teacher. She later commented, “They were all very smart young people with dreams, but I'm the only one who attended college realizing that opportunities may not spread easily, but that I could potentially support a student to reach new heights.”

A moral she stands by is  that being a good and conscientious person is free , so be the person who picks up trash that isn’t yours or make sure you return your  grocery cart. You can always provide some kindness and understanding to those around you, and always give others the benefit of the doubt.

She later stated, “ I look forward to learning about the school, the students, and my co-workers. I look forward to reading new things and having  new experiences. I LOVE learning as cheesy as that sounds. I plan to enjoy every minute of it.”
