New Year Produces New Rules For West High Trojans

As the new year begins, there are some changes added in the Morristown West High School 2025-2026 handbook. The handbook may be found on the home page of http://wh.hcboe.net.

Here are the following changes:

• 3 excused absences per class each semester

  
  

•  A parent note must be provided within 30 days of the absence.

  
  

•  5 unexcused tardies = 1 unexcused absence

  
  

• If there is an issue with a student schedule, forms will be available in your TNN to request a necessary schedule change.

  
  

  2025-2026 Student Handbook

•   Students who are 18 years or older must have parental permission to leave the school. They may NO longer sign themselves out. Students are NOT allowed to ride a different bus other than what is assigned to their home address.

  
  

•  Penalties for Alcohol Policy

  First offense - placement in the alternative school for 90 days. 

Second offense -180 day expulsion from the school system.

•  Penalties for vape product that tests positive for THC products: 

  
  

  • Expulsion from school for one calendar year (180 school days/Zero Tolerance Offense). 

    The school administration shall notify the student’s parent or guardian.

     law enforcement officials.
