Multiple West High Students Qualify for DECA State Competition

Several students from West High School have qualified for the DECA State Competition, and two have placed in the top ten! Way to go everyone! The Tennessee DECA State Career Development Conference is set to take place in Chattanooga, TN through March 9-11. DECA is sponsored by Mrs. Jackie Cutshaw.


  • Brie Blevins has qualified for the competition in Retail Merchandising.

  • Caroline Brady has qualified for the competition in principles of Hospitality and Tourism.

  • Isabella Forte has qualified for the competition in Accounting Applications.

  • Lauren Gray has qualified for the competition in Marketing Management Team.

  • Raylie Lykens has qualified for the competition in Buying and Merchandising. Team

  • Adison Manuel has qualified for the competition in Hospitality Services Team.

  • Allie McKenna has qualified for the competition in Hospitality Services Team.

  • Pierre Novus has qualified for the competition in Business Law and Ethics. Team.

  • Aarya Patel has qualified for the competition in Hotel and Lodging Management.

  • Harsh Patel has qualified for the competition in Business Law and Ethics Team.

  • Tania Roque Castro has qualified for the competition in Apparel and Accessories. Marketing

  • Chloe Seal has qualified for the competition in Buying and Merchandising Team.

  • Lillian Sturm has qualified for the competition in Entrepreneurship Team.

  • Isabella Swanson has qualified for the competition in Marketing Management. Team

  • Zeke Swearengin has qualified for the competition in Entrepreneurship.

Two students, Jaiden Rohe and Philip Lotivio have placed in the top ten of students in the district for their categories!
