Mrs. Price Is Right For West High

Tonya Price has taught elementary school students for the past 28 years, and now she’s sharing her talents with West High. This is her 28th year teaching, but her first year teaching high school. She’ll be teaching Early Childhood Education, where she will help students learn how to teach, instruct, and accommodate kids. Mrs. Price is all about effort in her classroom, “I am excited about this year. I want my students to know that I expect 110% from them, but in return I will give even more.”

Mrs. Price is no stranger to West, as she was a cheerleader for the Trojans back when she attended the school. Now, Mrs. Price is married to her high school sweetheart, Andrew Price. Together they have two sons, Spencer and Griffin. They also have a dog, Elsa, whom they love to take on boat rides. The family are quite the travelers, visiting places all over the world. Their favorite being Aruba, saying “We have been almost yearly since 2006. It feels like our second home. We will be going back in October of this year.” She lives her life by one simple rule, “Life is short - Take the trip, Eat the cake, Buy the shoes!”. We’re so excited to welcome Mrs. Price to West High, and we’re so proud to now call her a fellow Trojan.
