Morristown West Students Capture DECA Wins

Morristown West High School's DECA chapter saw significant success at the regional competition last month, with several students qualifying for the state event. The competition was held before Thanksgiving break, in late November.

The students competed in various business, finance, and hospitality categories, securing top spots and earning their berths at the state level. The students and the school expressed gratitude to their advisor, Mrs. Jackie Cutshaw, for her guidance and support throughout the competition season.
Jessica Gonzalez won first place in her category, Principles of Business Management and Administration.
Caroline Brady won first in the Restaurant and Food Service Management Series event.
Thomas Drinnon qualified in the Hotel and Lodging Management Series.
Ezekiel Griffis qualified in Principles of Finance.
Emily Yang qualified in principles of Hospitality and Tourism.
Maythe Hernandez qualified in the Quick Serve Restaurant Management Series.
Manny Quintero and Pascual Perez Gomez qualified in the Travel and Tourism Team Decision Making event.
Marvin Velasquez qualified in Personal Financial Literacy
Emma Miracle qualified in Principles Hospitality and Tourism
