ree

On Friday, December 5, Morristown-Hamblen High School West played against Knoxville West High School. The Morristown West Trojans secured a narrow victory, defeating Knox West with a final score of 51-49. During the game, Morristown West players wore green uniforms to honor their school's historical roots. The original mascot for West High School, the first public high school in Morristown for African American students, was the Green Dragon. The Green Dragon was the official mascot for West high from 1959-1965. This tribute served to recognize this significant period of local history and the legacy of the original West High students and faculty.  This was a close victory, securing their fifth straight win.
