Morristown West FBLA takes 11 wins at State Leadership Conference

West High's FBLA chapter competed at FBLA’s State Leadership Conference in Chattanooga from April 7 through April 9. April 7 held the opening session for all chapters and some competitions. The next day, April 8, held several competitions and leadership sessions ending with a dinner and award ceremony. In the chapters freetime, members and chaperones enjoyed exploring downtown Chattanooga and going to the Tennessee Aquarium. On the last day of the trip, April 9, West’s FBLA chapter enjoyed a morning trip to Rock City before heading back home.
Congratulations to FBLA competitors who racked up 11 wins in the state competition. Marvin Velasquez placed first in UX Design, Javier Fuentes placed second in Exploring Economics, Kyland Kiser placed third in financial literacy, Gabriel Castaneda and Dawson Moore placed fourth in Sports and Entertainment Management, Jessica Gonzalez Martinez and Yuveiri Torales placed fourth in Community Service Project while Almabel Santiago and Maythe Fuentes placed eighth in Broadcast Journalism. Iris Velasquez placed eighth in Business Management, and Harsh Patel placed in Economics.
