Nov. 14 Morristown West DECA students competed in regional competition in Knoxville. Kayla Apimwar, Maythe Hernandez, Brady Foreman, Shin Cheon Moon, Isabella Forte, Valeria Gracia, Iris Hernandez, Kamora Hunt, Philip Lotivio, Pierre Mongondouw, Harsh Patel, Julie Pierce, Brooklyn Shelton, David Rodriguez, Almabel Santiago, Chloe Seal, Raylie Lykens, Isabella Swanson, Zeke Swearengin, My Tran, and Noah Stapleton were students that competed. These students traveled to the Knoxville Civic Coliseum to compete in District 5 DECA Competition.
Student’s advancing on to the DECA State competition in February are Isabella Swanson
who received first place in her Quick Serve Restaurant Management Series event. In her evaluation judges stated "Bella was confident. She addressed the nature of the scenario.
She has an obvious background in business principles and she has an impressive understanding of the performance indicators." Also, qualifying is Harsh Patel, who received second place in the Retail Merchandising Series event. Judges said, “Harsh conducted a very strong role play. He gave an excellent presentation including the role of an influencer." Chloe Seal and Raylie Lykens will travel to Chattanooga to compete in the Buying and Merchandising Team Decision making event. My Tran and Noah Stapleton will compete at the state level for Entrepreneurship Team Decision Making. Iris Hernandez will compete in Principles of Finance. David Rodriguez will compete in the Food Marketing Series event.
