Matt Cahoon Champions Fitness as New Athletic Teacher

Morristown West High School is proud to officially welcome Matt Cahoon as the Trojans’ new Athletic Trainer. A resident of Morristown, Tennessee, Cahoon brings extensive collegiate-level sports medicine experience to the Trojan Athletic Program. 


He holds a Doctor of Athletic Training (DAT), the terminal degree in his field. Before joining West High School, Cahoon served as an Assistant Professor of Exercise Science at Carson-Newman University. He expressed great enthusiasm for this new chapter, supporting young generation student growth and well-being. Cahoon is a reliable member to the West High Trojan Sports Program, providing dedicated sideline coverage and immediate, expert medical care during all games. In addition to his clinical and academic work, Cahoon is currently authoring an upcoming textbook titled, “Prevention and Treatment of Athletic Injury.”
