West High's cross country team competed in the regions, Oct. 26, to qualify for the state meet. Three of Morristown-West’s Cross Country runners qualified to compete in the state cross country meet in Hendersonville Friday Nov. 4.
A huge congratulations to Nick Sexton, junior, qualified placing seventh, Peyton Couch, senior, qualified placing fourteenth, and Zach Henry, sophomore, qualified by placing eighteenth.
Senior Peyton Couch expressed, "This is my first time running for state, and I'm thrilled. I hope I do well." Best wishes to all runners of the cross country teams for beating their personal records and improving throughout the season, and also a big praise to Coach Sarah Bowen.
