West High seniors casted votes for who they believed would be best suited for the most athletic senior superlative. Mia Dinkins won the title of most athletic female while Tison Johnson was elected most athletic male.
Dinkins started playing sports in the fourth grade. She participated in three different travel teams and her dad signed her up for rec league which was the start of her basketball career. Dinkins was discussing who her role model is when she said “I look up to Paige Bueckers because she’s a really good basketball player and was the top player of her class.” Even though she shows great passion for basketball on the court, she does wish that she would have kept playing volleyball.
Similarly, both candidates took up sports at a young age. Johnson took up sports when he was just five years old. He is currently playing football and baseball and also shows some interest in starting golf. He added that he expected to engage in sports in the following five years. Similar to Dinkins, Johnson's father is the one who introduced him to sports.
