Trojan Talk

By Andrew Goodman, Editor

Trojan Nation, we have gotten off to a great start to be in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. Thanks to everyone who ran for officer positions and voted last week for student council.  Thank you students and parents for supporting our athletic teams.  Thank you to everyone for following the Trojan Nation Protocols and keeping each other safe. Together, we can make sure this school year produces success!

Students, please remember there is support for technology issues. Simply call 423-581-4420 between the hours of 8 A.M. and 8 P.M. Someone will gladly assist you.

Thank you to the administration of West High School for making this school year as smooth as possible! Thank them next time you see them.  They have put in countless hours to keep students safe.

Students, be sure to check out the Morristown-Hamblen High School West Library page on Facebook for an option to check out books without ever having to come to the library!  Virtual learners can take advantage of this option also.  Also, please remember to turn in your library books from last year this week to avoid any fines.  Starting next week fines will begin accruing for overdue books.  Freshmen, please bring your library books from last year to our library and we will be sure to get them back to your middle school librarian.

In counseling news, the Tennessee Promise application deadline is November 1 for seniors.  Juniors, The PSAT registration deadline in October 1. The cost of the exam is $17. Space is limited and will be on a first come first serve basis.  Seniors, next week is College App Week! Many colleges will be waiving their application fees, so reach out to colleges and and see if their fee is waived.  Students, please remember that scholarships are updated weekly on social media and on the Senior Google Classroom. Make sure to follow MoWest Counseling on Facebook.
