When students turn 15 or 16 they start looking for jobs, and there are a lot of opportunities where to work. Some students will work at fast food places or a grocery store. The different places students can work when they are 15 are tutor, lawn caretaker, house cleaner, pet sitter, babysitter, Taco Bell, McDonald’s, Dairy Queen, Hardee’s, Dunkin’ Donuts, Burger King, Chick-fil-A, and Dollywood. The jobs for 16 years old are courtesy clerk, cashier, stocker, retail store cashier, restaurant cashier, cook, waiter, small business worker, library assistant, food delivery person, Home Depot, Cracker Barrel, data entry clerk, lawn and gardening services, movie theater attendant, and Dollywood.
Some companies are not food related that will hire 15 and 16 year olds. A lot of people choose to work at fast food companies because for them it’s a good job and they enjoy working at fast food companies. Some people do not like working at the fast food companies because it’s not for them. So, they will explore a grocery store as a cashier or bagger. Some people will go and work at Dollywood because it is a great place to work and people can learn so much from Dollywood.
These are some countless places where students can get jobs and the jobs can also give students some experience that they will probably need for a future job. The jobs can also give the students some ideas of what they want to do after they graduate high school. There are parents who agree that jobs will prepared students for the future. Students may always search for internships at www.hcboe.net, click on departments, then career and technical education.
