Oscar Mayer Wienermobile slides into Morristown

The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile made a special appearance at The Morristown food truck rally Wednesday, May 10th. It was open for the public to come in and look inside, The drivers known as Hotdoggers were passing out their iconic wiener whistles that have been around since 1951. The Wienermobile made its first appearance in 1936 and its initial intention was to surprise and bring joy to the people of Chicago during the Great Depression. It was also made to act as a marketing tool for the brand. It is 27 feet long and weighs 40,000 pounds. There are only six Wienermobiles in the whole country and they all have unique license plates: YUMMY; OURDOG; WNRMBLE; RELSHME; OCRMYR; and WEENR. They travel across the country and make stops at different kinds of events and more.
