Everybody knows the infamous Disney Original movie, High School Musical, right? What would West High be like, though, if someone was to create a hypothetical movie based on West High School in their mind? As a project meant strictly for entertainment purposes, the opinions and perspectives of a couple students were documented.
West High has many memorable faculty members and some students expressed what teachers they would want to see being portrayed and what celebrities would portray them in The Trojan Nation: The Movie. Yakelin Hernandez replied saying, “Ariana Grande would play Mrs. Jameson and Vin Diesel would play Mr. Nease.”
Deklyn Manuel also gave his thoughts on some teachers he would like to see in the movie saying, “Mr. Hayes played by Leonardo Dicaprio, and put Mrs. Szatkowski in there and have her played by Jennifer Aniston.”
These students also gave insight on what they think the theme of the movie should be, and what movie they think West High is most comparable to. To that, Deklyn Manuel responded, “The theme would be learning to be yourself, and I would have to say with all of the sports and extracurriculars, I’m going to say... High School Musical."
Yakelin responded to the same question by saying, “The Crossover, because it is about a girl that doesn’t give up, the girl representing the school. The theme would be just not giving up and pursuing what you want to do.”
The last question that the students were asked was on who they thought should play Mr. Landefeld. Deklyn Manuel said Chris Hemsworth and Yakelin Hernandez said Adam Sandler.
While a movie on West High will not be happening, at least not any time soon, it is still interesting to think about what would happen if the opportunity were to arise.
